Institutional, Economic, and Socio-Economic Determinants of the Entrepreneurial Activity of Nations

This empirical study analyses the effects of institutional, economic, and socio-economic determinants on total entrepreneurial activity in contexts developed developing countries. It fills a gap literature, regarding lack studies about relationships among activity, corruption, commercial freedom, economic growth, innovativeness, inward foreign direct investment, unemployment, households, non-profit institutions serving households (NPISHs)’ final consumption expenditure, age dependency ratio, education index, life expectancy at birth. The application uses annual panel data for 2003–2018 period, with sample 21 countries, analysed two-stage application, including preliminary analysis quantile regression model. New evidence is provided, revealing significantly positive role played by NPISHs’ expenditure activity.
